On Monday, March 8, the Conway City Council voted to award a construction contract to Dargan Construction of Myrtle Beach, SC to build the much anticipated Recreation Center. The project Architect is Pegram Associates of Myrtle Beach, SC. The 60,000 square foot facility will be built at the site of the Recreation Complex, located at 1515 Mill pond Road. Facility amenities include:
5 lane swimming pool with 0' depth entry play area
Party room
The groundbreaking was held in May of 2010. Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of July. The facility is scheduled to open September 1, 2011.
